Ariana Constantino is, without question, one of the most extraordinary young artists I have ever mentored. The greatest of Dr. Constantino’s gifts is a deep understanding of music, and the ability to convey that understanding on the most profound level to the students that she is entrusted to mentor. This understanding is also reflected in her own music; this is a composer whose work I never “have” to hear again, but rather always want to hear again.

Ariana is the lead engraver for internationally renowned and celebrated composer Richard Danielpour, whose works are published by Lean Kat Music.

She has worked with Danielpour since 2014 and has engraved more than 30 commissions to date. She led the music preparation team for his newest opera, The Grand Hotel Tartarus, and is currently engaged with new works slated for premiere in future seasons. She also frequently serves as a consultant for professional composers, providing assistance with engraving, self-publishing, workflow improvement, and audio technology. For engraving, she primarily uses Dorico and is proficient with Sibelius.

Ariana has provided consultation and assistance in the production of award-winning commercial recordings. She was heavily involved in the production of the Grammy-winning world-premiere recording of Danielpour’s The Passion of Yeshua (Naxos 8.559885-86). She also assisted with the recently released An American Mosaic (Supertrain Records), the Russian String Orchestra’s recording of Talking to Aphrodite (Naxos 8.559857), and is credited for Digital Enhancement on Ian Krouse’s recording of Symphony No. 5 ‘A Journey Towards Peace’ (Naxos 8.559907)

In addition, Ariana maintains a private studio and provides lessons in composition, orchestration, and engraving. She currently works with students ranging from high-school to doctoral level, and she has assisted many in preparation for application to the most prestigious universities and conservatories in the world.

Ariana can provide all services remotely via Zoom, including private lessons.

Ariana Constantino has an unusual combination of expertise and human understanding of what an artist’s journey is in every respect. Not only did I regain my confidence learning from her, but she also helped me understand my own voice as a composer. I had never trusted a teacher like this before, nor met one with such brilliance—yet deep humility. Very grateful to have crossed paths with her.
